during my thirties............. I really couldn't care less what people I don't give a stuff about think of me lol. When I was younger I'd fret about what impression I was giving and whether or not somebody liked me .........but no more !!!

I'm actually REALLY beginning to look forward to being 40 now as my thirties have been a blast.......if I keep losing hang ups at this rate by the time I'm 50 I'll be damn near perfect...... lololololol xx

I know what you mean Catherine. Things started getting better for me in my very late twenties but circumstances made it a very testing time for me. I
had a major amount of bad knocks and lost my confidence for ages but being a mum when I was 30 cured that for me and it's got better ever since xx

Hi girls, I am going to be 68 soon, and I am so confident.

I have been through all the you have been through and now I am happy.

I have to say though that your basic nature will never change.... there will always be a little of what you were as a young woman.

I am a little shy, a little worried about what people think , still the same ME..... but I was definitely born to be an older woman!! ;-0)

It is comfortable, friendly, the competition may still be there.... but who cares?

Enjoy EVERY ONE OF YOUR STAGES.

This is your life.... not a dress rehearsal.

Love yourselves my lovelies...

I think life teaches you what to be aware of and what not to bother about.

I dont' need anyone's approval to be myself, I am who I am. I dont' set out to hurt people but I will defend those who have been hurt. Even then that has been a mistake at times.

However I wont' be made guilty by association. I speak to who I want, and I dont' hold grudges. If people can't respect that then its their problem.

*tsk* listen to me being all sanctimonious LOL.

I am still a tad shy in real life Deanna..... probably always will be but I fight it every inch of the way. So I can relate to what you are saying about basic nature not changing. REALLY wise words hon....... thank you xx

Muffy I agree with you. When I was in my 20's I worried about what people thought of me, although having my children helped with my confidence, but in my thirties I've stopped worrying about what people think of me, if they don't like me then that's their problem, not mine. I also think splitting with my ex helped, it meant I had to do things on my own and discovering what I was capable of doing, even if it was just putting a flat pack of drawers together, gave me confidence.

That's the really interesting thing about the meets I've been on........ such a difference in age but it makes absolutely no difference......everyone (so far) has been on the same wavelength.......I've enjoyed them enormously xx
