Hi Muffy - I agree too! Would hide away in a corner. Would never think of complaining about anything - especially out loud. Weeellll ! now I have reached me 50's moan out loud! Have not yet come to the point of telling a teenager off for dropping litter - but can see it will come one day (probably will wave me walking stick at him as well!) lol xxxx

Catherine, I'm 42 this year too! Can't believe it!

However given a choice if i could be in my twenties again i wouldn't want to relive them..No way! I didn't know who I was then. In my forties that I know who I am and what I want to be. My thirties was enjoyable but its better now. The only thing I can't get my head round is that my Mum died at 42. It feels so strange that I'm almost the same age. Don't feel sad just feel its wierd. xx

What you on about Joyous, course you can..

If my OH can still be a rebel without a cause at 51, while still trying to be the hairy biker, then you can be the wild biker chick for sure.

Look at BC!

Yes Muffy I think that will always be you, but like me you will find a way to 'fit it into your day'.

I found that if I was in a state ... anywhere, I would talk to the person next to me... who would perhaps talk to the person next to her/him.... and so the room shrinks... took me into my thirties to learn that trick.

Always found the courage to defend my own though.
My weapon then was the fact that people thought I was a wimp.... fools!

Sanctimonious??? Well, we know so much at our age, sit back and learn you young ones! ;-0)

Muffy I agree with you. When I was in my 20's I worried about what people thought of me, although having my children helped with my confidence, but in my thirties I've stopped worrying about what people think of me, if they don't like me then that's their problem, not mine. I also think splitting with my ex helped, it meant I had to do things on my own and discovering what I was capable of doing, even if it was just putting a flat pack of drawers together, gave me confidence.

I think life teaches you what to be aware of and what not to bother about.

I dont' need anyone's approval to be myself, I am who I am. I dont' set out to hurt people but I will defend those who have been hurt. Even then that has been a mistake at times.

However I wont' be made guilty by association. I speak to who I want, and I dont' hold grudges. If people can't respect that then its their problem.

*tsk* listen to me being all sanctimonious LOL.
