Omg, Daff, hope things aren't as bad as expected and you don't have any problems. I hate high winds etc and always worry that something will happen at my house and I won't be there to know or deal with it. Would hate the chimney to go through the roof for example and all my things get soaked, wouldn't know where to start to get sorted or get the builders in to deal with it. I think we are not going to be so badly hit as your area tho, so must be sensible and stop worrying, and worry for you instead lol and all those poor folk who might have troubles. |

At the moment, the south coast is wet, but reasonably quiet. |

Morning all.... so far so good. We seem to have escaped damage from the storm.. high tide is at 8.50 am and is expected to bring flooding to this area... I am hoping it will be minimal here, though I have prepared for the worst... rather be safe than sorry. The storm ditches are looking pretty low still, so fingers crossed! I'm off for a shower and brekkie..... just in case, lol!! |

Best of luck Daff. Its nearly 9.00 now so hopefully you have now got all your precious things - that cannot be replaced upstairs. (I am so grateful we live on a hill). |

Thanks so much everyone... it is looking good, lol.... we have been advised that flood protection measures should remain in place, as there is another exceptionally high tide later today.... not as high as this one... |
