Paul Norfolk Dumpling

Paul Norfolk Dumpling Report 1 Mar 2008 15:26

Since last thursday, it's been horrible.

Thursday night we had a van outside the pub catch fire. Nothing major, it was put out buy turning off the engine, but some druk div got in it, and crashed into my bosses Mercedes.

Friday night we had 2 blokes nearly coming to blows in the pub, with me in the middle. I'm only ickle!

Saturday night was fine... just totally boring!

Sunday, another fight in the pub.

Monday was pretty normal.

Tuesday, we had ANOTHER fight, (One of them being the same bloke as Friday), plus we had the local druggie come in the pub, ordered a doubles bells and coke, downed it and done a runner out the back door without paying.

Tuesday night/Wednesday morning we had the earthquake.

Wednesday, we had someone accuse me of adding stuff to their tab they hadn't had!

Thursday night we had the keys to the cellar door lost, so every barrell we needed to change, we couldn't. So we ran out of most beers!

Friday night, we had the kids hit by the car in the village, with me witnessing it.
When I got back to the pub, someone made a sick joke about it, so I nearly knocked him out. I was not a happy bunny!

Over the last week weve had 3 barrells of beer come from the brewer, which were all bad, so we haven't had any real ale all week.

Did the earthquake bring this bad karma with it?

Please say next week will be better!

Was thinking the same as Amanda with regards the years worth of misfortune.

Any news on the lad?

Our boiler started leaking on sunday night. guy came out on weds and it needs some new part but he had order it. Not heard back yet. We just have to keep emptying the tub that's under it.

Then there was the phonecall that I'd had which I had to wait overnight to find out if it was about a flat but turned out not to be.

My FM seems to have flared again after my last infection.

I'm sure that's about it for this week.

Well, tonight didnt seem much better.

Me and my boss were having a nice night, we were winding each other up, as we always do, taking the pee out of each other, when we had customers sitting at the bar slagging us of as if we weren't even there.

:-)

Paul, you have had a rough time.
Maybe you can spit in their beers, if those idiots at the bar come back again lol
Try and think positively and hope next week is a lot better.
Heard from a newbie, I think, on here today and she is not far from you, in one of my favourite places. We will have to have a K.L. meet soon lol
Take care, any news of the lad in the accident.

Ronald, what an awful thing to happen so close to your home, did you know the people?
And Liz, hope the part comes soon for the boiler, so you can stay warm. The forecast isn't good for next week, going to get colder apparently. Wrap up warm hon.

Thank God this weeks over.....

Had to have my beloved chawawawawa 'Flukey' put to sleep last Friday...heart murmer which meant fluid was getting into his lungs and stomach! faster than the drugs (which he hated taking) could cope with!

His poor little belly was like a balloon. He couldnt sit or lay comfortably anywhere!

Finally his little back legs gave up! He was miserable...sad....fed up.......even feed times stopped being enjoyable

The youngest of my two cats is pineing for him (Purdie)...she used to suckle on him when a kitten....and he allowed her to!...bless his little heart...

He was a dog in a million and will be sadly missed forever.....

I hope he waits for me on Rainbow bridge....

Gerri x

PS...If you dont know about 'Rainbow bridge'....Google it......and have the kleenex ready......

I'll never have another dog!......said that 4 times!...mean it this time...

Oh Gerri, I am sorry to hear this news. I hope your cat settles soon without him.
I know you must have given him a wonderful life so he will definitely be first in the queue at Rainbow Bridge when it is your turn to meet him, but for now, try to imagine him young and fit again, and enjoying life the way he did as a pup.
Thinking of you hon.

Flukes history....

He was a rescue dog.....

He was found in a cat run/cage with about 20 cats.

My Daughter resued him and brought him to me after i had just lost my springer spaniel Bramble (14 years old)

I looked at him and thought i would find him a nice new home....(there was no way i was gonna keep him!)

1st job was to get rid of the flees and scabs.
This turned into an enormous vets bell (over £300)

He never ever complained.....(nor did i)

Then the vet decdided his teeth needed to be looked at...........another £200...this left him with 2 to three back teeth.

This diddnt take long for him to adjust. He could chew a small bone better than i could lol

I already had a 'tiny' Yorky Holly......they got on right from the start........

Holly was going blind......Fluke was her 'seeing eye dog'

You had to see this to beieve it....

Oh Gerri, Fluke sounds lovely, a very special little dog and gave back to you for what you did for him.
Of course you will miss him lots for always, but what a wonderful family of pets you have had.
I thought of you the other day as there was a pic in a magazine, think it might have been Prima, of a Forest cat - I remember when you got her!
Take care hon, mind you don't end up on the floor lol.
Hugs for you and Maggie, and all who miss Fluke.
