As im sure many of you are aware it is the custom in Wales for the children to dress up in the national costume on St Davids Day.

At what age do you think it is the norm to still wear the costume?

I ask this as Boo is still unsure wether to go for it or not this year cos she dont wanna look like a dweeb (her words not mine lol)

Hiya Jax

Girl's are funny like that aren't they? They seem to mature quicker than boys and don't want to look babyish. I'd say let her do as she wants....but have a costume on standby cos you can bet your life that when she sees her mates dressed up, she'll want to aswell lol

I think 8 is ok to wear welsh costume, but perhaps girls grow up quicker than this nowadays. Am sitting in here and on the wall in front of me is a photo of my daughter aged about 5 dressed in welsh costume holding a large bunch of daffodils, she looks lovely.

think my mams was cast iron, black, and well used, can't for the life of me think what happend to it. When I wanted to make welshcakes a while back, had to use frying pan, was not good cause cooked on outside too quickly before inside was done.
