I have been feeling that no one visits us, or only if they want something do they call. My sister lives opposite and can walk up the rd, climb the steps to a neighbour, but hasnt been in my house for 3yrs. Cmplains of neglect if I dont go there most days. Any way, this afternoon a young man who went to school with our late son brought his young family to see us to thank me for knitting a cardigan for the baby. The little ones had al ovely time turning eveything upside down, watching our fish tanks and generally making themselves at home. I cant tell you how much better I feel. We have also been invited to call there any weekend if I can get OH out of the shed long enough! Jean |

Sorry, but Monmouth is changing out of all recognition. The latest is a proposal to build a ?visitor centre at the Monnow bridge end of town and turn it into a square where events can be held, taking all the interest from the square at the Shire Hall where it has always been. Jean |

I,m glad I am not the only one to feel this way. The other thing I hate is that the tele stays on whoever calls, as if to say ,go away I'm missing my programme. First time I saw Monmouth at age 5 was arriving at Troy station as an evacuee. Troy has changed, there are houses there now.Jean |

Let me know nearer the time and I might not have a hospital appointment. I like to talk but am no longer good at going out, (except to hospitals, which is enforced!) Jude has offered before, but have been unable to take her up on it. Cant all be my OH's fault, can it? Jean |

Will do..... and it won't feel like going out if I pick you up and drop you off.... we could pick somewhere that is just a yard or two from a carpark, if you like? |
