It has to be at least 8 hours since you last ate......................so midnight sounds right to me.

Good luck with the test.

Caz its usually nothing from midnight.

It's just a blood test, they may take 3 vials from you though. Nothing to worry about.

Once you've had the test you can have that well-earned cuppa.

Why have you left it so long? It was ages ago that you were asking about your symptoms! *tsk*

If you don't Caz, you will have me to answer to.

I'll spell it out for you. If you have diabetes, and the symptoms certainly look that way, and you ignore it as you have been, you are dicing with DEATH! It is a life-threatening condition unless it is controlled.

The sore on your toe should be checked out too, asap. Its probably a chilblain, diabetics are prone to them. It needs treating.

Don't get me cross! LOL

Hi Caz

Hubby's fasting tests for diabetes (and his last one was only a few weeks ago) are nothing except water after 10pm. Hope you get on ok.

Mandy :) x

Hey Caz hope everything goes ok, the fasting test I had for my cholestorel check was a nightmare because they didn't do the blood tests until 11am at the uni surgery...never been so hungry!

Looks like I've caught strep throat from my lovely nephew who was coughing everywhere so may well be off to the docs tomorrow too. My throat is killing me so we'll have to keep fingers crossed for monday.

Hi Caz - my son been insulin diabetic since three and half (now 41) - please keep your appointment and let us all know the results of your tests - if it is diabetes once you are 'in control' you will feel so much better. love Jx
