Caz, it is not being selfish to think of yourself if you have others to care for. After all, where would they be if you 'crashed'? When my OH was diagnosed with cerebral atrophy my first thought was to get my own health checked as I would need to be healthy to care for him as he got worse. That was over a year ago. He is still not too bad apart from short term memory but I seem to have developed a lot of aches and pains! Old age, who would have it. |

Caz. If you are diabetic do follow the advice medics give you do NOT disregard advice. Get into the diet needed and stick with it. Lass on the thread in Connections Type 2 was diet and exercise but as she freely admits, ignored sticking to the diet. She then had to start taking tablets and now on Insulin, is pregnant and it seems got a problem with baby. |

Anyone who thinks they may have diabetes should consult their GP sooner rather than later. I'm Type 2 diagnosed 2002. There is a Diabetics Thread on the "Connections" site it's in the Forum FRU old gang - or summat like that. Friendly thread, nil back biting, can ask/give advice/support to each other. Ron |
