Annie M Douch b St Leonards in 1876 her parents were William & Eliza.
And
Lily Annie M Douch b Sussex 1879 her parents were David & Eliza, then Elizabeth.

Both of them had sisters called Edith, so we need to know which one she is.

i will order roses birth cert so i can work out exactly who her mum was. i am presuming that annie maria douch as it is on the birth records is the same peorson as lily annie maria douch as this is what was on the marriage cert for her and henry and thats where her mums name came from as it says eliza on the marriage cert plus edith and so when i found the 1901 census record with annie m douch born hastings 1878 and eliza douch born pinner in middlesex 1838 and edith douch born chichester 1871 i thought this must be her plus mum and sister
and when i found the 1901 census for her and henry i thought ou well she moved in with him and had his baby it was only when the marriage to john hunt turned up it got confusing and then when i could not find a rose light it got abit of a muddle. i have tryed to find birth records to prove that there was an annie m douch and a lily annie m douch but can only find one birth record which is the one from hastings family tell me that annie was born in hastings and that her and henry were in horsham but she was known to have lived in london but they cant tell me why she lived there or why tom was born in islington when all the rest were born in horsham. they presumed that her and henry lived in london and then moved back. no one had any idear that she was not married when albert and mary and tom were born and we cant explain why there is not a birth record for a rose light in 1921 with the mums name douch
i have spent far too many hours looking at records but the more you look at it the more confused it gets
will let you know what roses birth record says when i get it and any more info i can find

i think if I were you I would get Rose's birth cert.
Do you think Rose was a child of another relation and brought up as theirs? I have a few of those in my tree!!

Until you get that i am not sure what we can do with her.

i think i have found a death record for edwin l hunt he died aged 6 in islington in 1918
death rec dec 1918 lslington 1b 661 mums name douch
still cant find any records for rose and fred
or for another marriage for henry to match up a mums maiden name of ripley for rose light
have ordered henry lights cert but still waiting for it to arrive.
its certainly given me brain ache
no wonder my nans sisters said that i should leave grandads side alone and leave the past in the past
they are all very old and have never spoken about the family and living away from each other we never saw alot of them i have tryed to talk to the ones whos memory is still there but they dont want to help and cant understand why i should want to do a family tree any way as i should be consentrating on my boys . its so frustrating i think anything they do know will go to the grave with them. its a shame census record up to 1950 are not available!

sorry had to get kids etc yesterday, and have a son who has mental health problems so cant do tree with him around, all at school again now
right what info i have got so far
my grandads name is albert light born 1913 horsham on his birth cert it says mums maiden name douch and name annie m and dads name henry light
henry light was born in 1875 in horsham
annie m douch was born in hastings in 1878 but when i got her birth cert it says name as lily annie maria douch. her mums name is eliza douch no fathers name on the cert
with this info i looked at 1901 census records
found 2
1 she was living in hastings as a single person who was a photographers assistant with her mum eliza douch and sister edith douch. says on census she was born in hastings and lists right age and year of birth.
2 living in star road roffey horsham with henry light and son henry aged 11 months plus visitors from kent again right birth place and age for her.

found marriage cert for them henry and annie horsham 1916.
on this it says her mums name eliza and her sisters names as witnesses and 2 other names that dont mean anything
i know my grandad had siblings so i found the records for these
mary light b1911 horsham has henry and annie on her birth cert and mums maiden name douch
tom light b1915 in marylebone mums name again douch and its annie and henry
charity light b1920 horsham mums name again is douch and its henry and annie
i know she died aged 15/17 but cant find a record of this?
rose light now i no she is supposed to be henry and annies but can only find a birth record for a rose light of horsham in 1921 whos mums name is ripley? hence the listing for help as i know she married a man called fred sargent but cant find any record of this or any death records for her and fred.
when doing surches also found the marriage record for lily annie maria douch from hastings who married a john hunt in 1900
now since her name on her marriage cert to henry is also lily annie maria douch from hastings with same date of birth i am assuming this is the same person!
it then dawned on me that she must have married john left him moved to her mums and then lived with henry and had child. but she then had my grandad and mary and tom before she married henry. then i found a record for her which says john hunt and lilian annie douch son named edwin l hunt mums maiden name douch in 1912 so is this why may be tom light was born in marylebone did she leave henry when pregnant with tom to go back to john hunt had tom and son edwin and then who knows? could this be then that henry light also found a new partner and had rose light born horsham 1921 with mums name ripley?
as far as my grandads children -my mum and siblings are concerned they did not know of a child henry light and assumed henry and annie were married when they had albert mary tom charity and mary. so this is all new to us all
as we were confused i tryed to find another marriage for henry light to a ripley but have not found one
i have sent for henrys birth cert but still waiting for this so decided to try and find more on rose and fred to try and make sence of it but cant find any birth marriage or death records for fred and cant find any other birth records for a mary light horsham 1921 or her death record.
so any extra help would be great

If in 1901 she was living with her mother and also living with Henry, do you think John died soon after they married so she went to live with her mother and then moved in with henry? the cencus is not all done at the same time. But why was henry 1900 named Light?

Why would she name him Light if this is the year she married John Hunt ~ seems a bit strange!

Here this one is very confussing will try and get my head around it!

on alberts birth record it says mums maiden name douch and on henrys toms marys and charitys. it also says dads name henry light on all and mums name is annie marie on henrys and toms and alberts and it says lily annie m on marys and charitys but all signed by her with a x and henry mary charity and albert are all registered in horsham but tom was in marylebone ? and the only birth records i can find for rose light say 1921 march as i was told but have mums maiden name ripley it is horsham as i was told but its a mystory.

in the 1901 census
she is living in hastings with her mum eliza a widow and her sister edith she is listed as a photographers assistant.
also found her in 1901 living with henry in crawley road horsham with son henry aged 11 months.
on both have same dates of birth and place
