If this is the bit you are talking about

For recent events registered within the last 18 months, applications for certificates should be made to the Register Office in the district where the birth, death or marriage took place

It means if the BMD was Registered in the last 18months then you'll need to get them from the register office the event took place

Ignore what you read, look just below the top right hand corner, in the White boxed area, it say's register/Login, click it and register, its free, but certificates will cost you £7

That is my problem, I looked into finding out how to obtain birth certificates and haven't got a clue how to go about it????

As my great grandfather lived in Rusking in Lincolnshire and I live in the Mansfield area of Nottinghamshire, those who were born around here I would go to the local register office, but how do you go about getting certificates from different regions do you have to go to that local register office????

I am such a novice at this getting better, but it knowing how to obtain the information.
