Have you got your Gr Grandparents BC with his mothers maiden name on it? their marriage could be mistranscribed and her name may be better to search with. |

Yes that is john goodacres daughters birth, and I haven't got my grt grt grandfathers birth certificate unfortunately, I am such a novice at this, just discovered the ancestry site!!! Which helps. |

Hi I have just been on the gro.gov site and it says you can only order certificates from 1900 until 18 months prior to the present day??? |

Ignore what you read, look just below the top right hand corner, in the White boxed area, it say's register/Login, click it and register, its free, but certificates will cost you £7 |
