Hi Diane First of all, thankyou for your kind offer. I have a difficult one here. I am looking for an Ada Elizabeth Hamilton. She was born c. 1870 in Plumstead Kent/London. I know for sure she was a widow and was living in London. However, she was in the Southam, Warwickshire area the week before the census was taken. Her three children were 'deposited' at a convent school there. I know this as the nuns still have record of this. Aged approx. 31 do you think she may have been in transit back to London? I know she was in the Licensed Trade. Thankyou for your time Diane Kind Regards Sarah.

Hello Diane i have been looking for my ggrandparents who appear to be missing form the 1901 census although I know that my ggrandfather didn't die until 1934. Their children during the census were living with relations but I have no idea where they were. They were Henry Barrett b 1860, Hull and Mary Ann b 1855 Hulme, Lancashire. Henry was a blacksmiths striker, has been named as an engineer and trawler watchman at other times. Their address on 1881 census was 10 Walworth Crescent, Strickland Street, Hull. In 1894 They had a child born at 10 Braemar Terrace, Walcott Street, Hull. In 1930 Henry Barrett was living at Cave Terrace, Wassand Street, Bramley, Nr Leeds. No idea when he was widowed. I hope you like a challenge!!!! Hope you have more luck than I've had. Jackie

Hello Diane, Thank You for your kind offer. I am wondering if you have more luck than I am with my FRED HARMAN, born in 1875 - in Chigwell, Essex. He wasn't living with his widowed father (James Harman) and 3 siblings and he didn't marry until September 1901 (his to be wife was working as a servant in West Ham - her name was Tabitha Stocker but listed as Bertha Stocker....she was a run around to find too...!!!). He must be out there somewhere...??? Regards, Dawn.

Hi Diane What a great offer could you see if you have any luck finding: James Edward Eggby born 1854 in Shoreditch, Middlesex Last known address: 46 Amity Road, West Ham, Essex. There is a possibility that he died in Tonbridge, Kent in 1908. His occupation was Glass Cutter. He was not with his family on the 1901 census having left them. I have tried every combination of his name to try and find him but without success. Many thanks Susan
