I am trying to locate a Turner family in the 1901 and possibly 1891 census in the Millwall / Isle of dogs.......Poplar registration District. I am looking for a William Turner and his Wife who i believe was called Florence. I know that they had 13 children during their marriage 11 of which survived although i am not sure of the ages or order in which they were born. Their names in no particular order are;.Gladys Florence Doris Lillian Grace Alice Elsie Ethel Victor William Reginald... I know that Alice was one of the younger children and she was born in 1903. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Regards Mike ..............Hi Deb, Don't know if you are still about,if you are could you tell me if they are the correct dates for the 2 Florence Turners in the census posting as it appears that Florence the mother was only 12 when she had her daughter Florence Regards Mike |

I've been on another site most of the week and you are are better using using dots as the message area is short and quite wide, thought with having so many names i'd give it a go on here, couldn't believe what it did Thanks again Debs Regards Mike |

1901 mistake Mike. Daughter Florence is, in fact, 9 months, not 9 years as stated. Regards Lewella |

Not necessarily. The Census was taken on 31 March 1901. So if Doris's birthday wasn't until say 30 April she was still only 1 for the purpose of the census, but could well have been about to turn 2. Regards, Lewella |
