Thanks for that onfo Kate,i hadnt relised that.. Im just trying to find Josephs death again..i know he died between 1857(as that was when his daughter was born)and 1861,when his wife Elizabeth was a widow. If i can find the right one it might give me more info.. Sue x

I'm getting utterly confused here. But one thing that you could do is search through the GRO death indexes from Jun 1851 to whatever quarter of 1853 Joseph and Elizabeth's marriage took place, to see if there is a Harriet(t) Dearlove death listed in that gap. I know it says Joseph was a bachelor on the marriage cert, but I suppose it could be wrong? There don't seem to be very many Daniel Dearloves around. I can't see Harriet on the 1861 census, but I haven't tried very hard, I must admit. Got to go and make the children's tea now.... But I just had a quick look on FreeBMD and it looks as though Dearloves are listed for all the quarters in that timeframe, and no Harriet. Oh well, back to square one... Kate.

I've look @ the GRO indexes for Harriets death between 1851 & 1853 - nothing I'm afraid.
