William Brailey According to 1891 census born Wayton, Jingerley 1871 approx Not sure where this is think its Barnstaple Devon way! Can only find him on census 1891 & 1901 when living in Gunnislake, Cornwall with his wife & children... Speaking to my nan today she believes William came down here from Barnstaple way to mine but can't find him!! *Update - many thanks to the people below I now have him on the census but despite spending the last 2hrs looking I still cant find his birth to order his cert....anyone able to hel Any help graciously recieved

Actually on second glance I'm not so sure as I don't think Tavistock would be the reg district if born in or around Barnstaple....

Must admit I wasn´t sure either - hence the question marks. To be honest on a quick glance through the thread was having difficulty deciding where exactly he was born - and have never heard of Waytown and Jingerly - and couldn´t find them on a map!!

I see the family were living in Tavistock in 1881 if the above is the correct family. Maybe they moved there just after his birth, and he was registered there instead. Just a thought. Mags.

Looking at the areas under Okehampton there is one called Gidleigh do you think this might be Jingley/Hingley?? Mags
