Hello again, this thread may not be visible anymore but it is worth a shot. I came across and old document AN agreeement regarding the disposal of James Kellys belonging dated I think 1844. We already know that James Kelly born 1776 married Janet Whitecross and started his family in Whitekirk : James 1802, Anne 1802, John 1805, Peter 1807, james kelly 1810, Richard 1812 & Janet Kelly. We know that Two Kelly sons married two Hogg sisters. The agreement states: "witnessed by two sons : James & John Kelly and sons in law John Hogg, John Hagar & Alexander Hogg Forthwith Elizabeth Hogg and Margaret Hogg and Janet Hagar it is left to do what thinks proper with the things that belonged to their mother. I went down a rabbit hole with this one as their are too many intertwined Kellys and Hoggs. They all moved and resided in their own Little community in Canty Bay which I have the census to. |
