Hi. Please may I ask if anyone has a subscription if they could look up the info I have found. Its taken me almost 20 years to find what I have found today. I tried to access the information over the 'free' weekend, only to find I have to pay to actually 'view' it. I would be very grateful. I was going to request a birth cert copy. But I really don't want to buy one if it turns out to be the wrong person The details I have are as follows... Frank Edward Painter born 1901, registered 1902.in Whitchurch Shropshire. page 704 Vol 6A Affiliate line number 56. Reg Quarter Jan Feb March registered 1902. Also we know absolutely nothing regarding his 2nd wife Nora Whalley except that she was born in 1917 Bury and her mother's last name was 'Fletcher' This is what I found Name Nora Whalley Event Date 1918

Both the husbands grandparents have now sadly passed and it would be great if I could get more info about them as it seems the family know hardly nothing about them & we have been told they didnt ever talk about 'before'. I know they got married in 1943 and have an address where they lived in 1939. and that Frank was married before To a gladys eyre in 1926. Also it seems whoever wrote the birth in the register mis-spelled his surname as 'painter' instead of the correct way 'paynter' as in his two marriages & death reg. Please could anyone help on either Frank & Nora or both. It would be great to finally have that wall knocked down so I can continue their line. TIA

I have the details of Gladys Eyre who married my hubbys grandfather Frank Edward Paynter (the correct spelling) in 1926.
Nora Whalley b1917 Bury Lancashire was his 2nd wife they married in Bolton1943. Her mothers surname was ? Fletcher.(who was from Rochdale
Frank E Painter (mis-spelled on the reg form) was born dec1901 registered 1902 in Whitchurch Shropshire.
The problem I'm having is viewing the actual records. I can only get as far as the above information. I can't even find any census records that will allow me to search. I just don't know what Im doing wrong. I thought I was finally getting somewhere with the free weekend but then found we have to subscribe to actually view. Maybe Im just being numb lol
