joanna states that son, Thomas Lally, was born in 1886 not 1872:-

Lally Thomas S. Shields 10a 349

The fact that there are two Patrick Lallys both married to Margarets living in the same area is causing some confusing.
What we need to know is, is it the family who has son Thomas born in 1886 that we are interested in, or the other one????

As there are 2 Lally families living in the same area we really need to know which is the correct one.
Who is the relative in your tree that you are following backwards?

You say that the son Thomas was born in 1886 in Jarrow but in 1911 there is a Thomas that would fit with this info but he is married to someone called Margaret Blanche?
