Find Ancestors

Hi,
I wondered if anyone has access to Stoford parish records. I am tracing to trace what happened to the children of Mark Smith (1837 - 1894) and Emily Smith (nee Langdon).
I have established what happened to Elizabeth Annie Smith (1858 - 1948, my great grandmother), and William Crocker Smith born 1861.
The remainder of Mark and Emily's children I have found impossible to progress beyond the 1880s and 1890s
They are Jane born 1863 in Lambeth, Maria 1865 again in Lambeth, David Nathaniel born 1872 in Stoford and Robert Walter born 1875.
Does anyone have any further information?

I missed one daughter Charlotte born 1868.

The info you gave for david nathaniel is very interesting as his older sister my great-grandmother Elizabeth Annie Pool (nee Smith), Had a daughter Gertrude Winifred born in 1900/1901. In 1920 she emigrated to America to stay with relatives. Until now it was assumes with Pool relations, her destination Gloversville

This site has the obit for Mrs. Jane Smith Maidment in Gloversville, 1917. She had 3 brothers, William Smith of Yeovil, England, Robert and David Nathaniel Smith of Gloversville and 3 sisters Mrs. Richard Pool of Nottingham, England, Mrs William Dare and Mrs. William Veysey of Gloversville.

There's also an obit for Mrs. Maria Dare, Gloversville, 1935. Survived by 2 brothers Nathaniel Smith of Gloversville and William Smith of England and 2 sisters, Mrs. William Veysey of Gloversville and Mrs. E.A. Poole of Nottingham, England.

The Maidments in 1910. Both born England, he emigrated 1882 and she in 1886.

The passenger list fro Gertrude Winnifred in 1920 says she's going to join her aunt Mrs. Wm. Dare, 30 5th. St., Gloversville. Says she's planning to stay permanently.

Charlotte Veysey died in 1954, aged 86. One brother still living, Nathaniel Smith, Gloversville.
