Pleasure to help Brian. When you are born a Scot but with mostly Irish blood in you you do learn a bit more about Irish Ancestry!

It would be great if you do manage to come back and let us know how you get on.

Good Luck.

Well..........you clever people.
Charles James Lewis marriage cert. shows his father to be Samuel which goes a long way to suggesting that you were correct and he probably is my father and this is his first marriage.
The birth cert. of Helen Joan Lewis also shows him to be the father and she is probably my half sister. WOW............

My initial look for Helen Joan Lewis born 1946 . Reg, Delgany, Co. Wicklow has not been successful. Any suggestions greatfully received.

Never thought I (you) would get (me) so far in such a short time :-D

How about an ad. in a Wicklow newspaper. Some-one may reecognise the name even if she herself doesn't see it.

So glad that you are on the way to finding a relative.

Thank you, good idea :-)
In the meantime I will try to see if Daddy has deceased in the UK as nothing shows in Ireland so far.
