Hi Kim - you can confirm deaths etc on FreeBMD: |

Further to the above, I have tried many variants of all names and also left the location field blank - William resided in Southend till his death in 1974; he married 3 times as far as I am aware and had 3 natural children by 2 of the wives ............ |

Yes Kath, that's the one I have in my tree. Very complicated family by the looks of it as there were numerous other children from his father's second marraige who lived elsewhere it seems. |

Hello Kim, can you tell us where and when Elizabeth was born? - might help us trace her. |

Kim - what did you have his mother's name as, and where did you get it? (His father may have remarried, perhaps). |

Kim, the baptisms are on ancestry so you'd need a sub (if you don't have one). But we don't mind looking up for you (and yes, Marie's fine!) |

I don't have any certificates yet, I am awaiting a bundle from my father before I buy any (no point in having duplicates!) but yes painter does make sense as it seems to be in the genes, I believe William was a painter and decorator at some point in his life also. |
