Do you mean Southwark ?

Have you found your great uncle on the 1911 census ?

Keith

Keith Report 13 Aug 2011 22:28

Glitterbaby no he died of an injury received in the war
i managed to get a copy of his obituary and it stated he was headmaster of borough school Southwark before he enlisted to fight in WW1
have been in touch with the council for Southwark but they know of no school named that (sorry for mistake in spelling )
it may not be there now i am talking 1918 .or it may be known by another name .as i said the man i spoke to said in those days the school was usually called after the road it was in
thank you for taking time to reply
regards Keith

You could try sending an email to the local history library:

(choosing Southwark, then School in searchbox, brings up names, not seeing Borough though!)

What was your Gt Uncles name?
What year was he born and where? What family did he have so that we might be able to trace him and find where he worked as a HeadMaster.
