Ellie Mary Morris married Charles Craddock Adams 1916 NZ.

I have not been able to find any trace of either Ellie or Charles after the marriage in 1916.

Thanks Mel75 for the news of the death 1918.

My main interest is Ellie Mary Morris as she is my great-grandmother.

I have had quite a few hiccups along the way to finding the right person and now know I have the right one. The marriage certificate confirms who she is and why she went to NZ. Her son's birth was registered under her dead sister' name to save scandal and they perhaps shipped off to NZ so that no one would be any the wiser.

If someone can help me trace what happened to her after 1916 I would be most appreciative.

I hope I have this right on Genes now.

Did Arthur die in Australia or New Zealand, trying to find if Ellie returned to Australia

Hi Mel75,

Arthur died on his way back to Sydney from Victoria 1960. His death is registered in Victoria.

He is buried in Sydney NSW.

I have tried to find if Ellie returned to Australia but to no avail.

I hope you can find something.

Sorry about delay in answering, unfortunately I have not been able to find any more details. Maybe someone with access to the Electoral Rolls might find Ellie Morris/Adams
