Member Since: October 2006 Posts: 12 Send Message	Hi I am looking for Ada Toye, Born about 1880 in Aston, Birmingham. She married William Stevenson in 1898 in Birmingham and died 1929, Birmingham. On her marriage cert her father is William (deceased) toolmaker. I can find another Ada Toye, born 1876/7 whose father is George, but she was still single in 1901. Thanks in advance. Sheila

	Wonder if her mother remarried and Ada is listed in census under stepfather's name?

	The fact that a father is named on a marriage certificate is no guarantee that the facts stated are accurate. Many an illegitimate child "Invented" a father on their marriage to avoid embarrassment.
