still trying to work it out there is a few alternatives I have found a John Livesey married to an Elizabeth 1873 with 3 children Alfred Florrie and John in 1901 census ?? cant work it out ..the Swaysey suited her but she was Evans married to a John T Livesey the Joshua and Elizabeth for her mother and father sounds good in the past i've ordered a wrong certificate didn't want to make the same mistake with the Livesey's but thanks for your help ...Elaine

Well if the Wigan connection is all you've got I don't think it will be the Chorley couple.

I'd say her name was Evans in the one Jonesey found. You can check the image yourself on freebmd. Click on the spectacles icon.

What does 1911 say for her place of birth?

1901 was wigan ..but the Joseph Murphy her daughter Margaret Doris was married to lived in Birtley co Durham maybe the livesey's moved up in the northeast earlier I was only paging down census for wigan and there's loads and loads of Evans's ....oh sorry that wouldn't make any difference only on bmd's my brains not working gonna see what you mean we but shouln't rule the chorley ones out just yet chorley maybe nr Wigan forgive me i'm not making much sense am i ..

Do you mean Elizabeth? Have you found her birth index? Or do you mean Margaret Doris?

If you are a direct descendant of Margaret you'll need her birth cert somewhere down the track but I think you can be pretty confident of her parents from 1911. They are the only Liveseys living in Easington.

Anyway I suggest you get Elizabeth's & John's marriage as you know that is the one you want. Then you should know if her father is Joshua. I can't find Joshua before 1881 or his marriage.

Also you need to see 1911. I can't check the image for you. If you can't either, update the title of this thread to read something like "Update: 1911 lookup please." Then add something in your first post so they'll look for her in Easington.

When I was checking for her in 1911 she didn't come up as born Welshpool but definitely born somewhere in Wales. I found her through Margaret Doris.
