Hello

Thank you all for finding this information for me.

I do have the marriage of Joseph Medley and Hannah Chadderton

On the 1861 they were living next door to Josephs two sons John and Jacob.

It was the names of Joseph and Hannah children on the 1861 I was having problems with I could not make them all out.

I thought the one daughter name looked like Graveland but I have never heard of it before.

I have not been able to find the family on the 1871 census.

I am very grateful for all the searching you have done for me.

well Shirlock I think that explains why you couldn't find them in 1871, some of them had gone off to America ! :)) great job done by those who looked up the US records I think :)

The name looks more like Gracelana to me - never heard of that either though. Could it be Grace Lena, or Grace Lana.

Hello Kath and Potty

Thank you for looking for alternative names. I really think you could be correct in thinking it's not Graveland.

I have been looking at it today on the census and trying to work out other names.

I am most grateful to you and everyone else who has been looking on my behalf.
