How lovely Michael. Congrats. Enjoy your visit down Sowff. Thanks for the info. Acknowledged your contribution on my Taylor thread.

Morning Sylvia. Glad I didn't have to travel that sort of distance to see mine. 6 miles for the first two but 20 for the third as they had moved for a bigger house which was further away.

Cannot figure out where you went if it took you a 6 hour flight but then you managed to get back by train. Does it take 6 hours to cross Canada by air?

That wasn't the dawn chorus Sylvia - that was Michael singing!!

Ah Jeannie....Sylvia didn't mention the bit of the journey that she did on ski's either, nor the roller coasting on the way home...........lol

Hi Jeanie

It was actually 4½ hours to Toronto, 45 minutes on the ground, then same plane and about 2 hours to Halifax, NS

The trains back were about 18 hours (overnight) Halifax to Montreal, about 6 hours (day) Montreal to Toronto, and 4 nights/4+ days Toronto to Vancouver

It takes us about 9 hours flying time to get from Vancouver to London England!!

and .......

........ ignore that Cynthia, she really does tell porkies sometimes!!

Ignore Cynthia - my goodness - what are you saying. And accusing her of telling porkies - well I never:-))

Thanks for the journey time explanation - can see why it took so long.

Who was it sang the song "All by myself"?

Dozey

Dozey Report 14 Jul 2010 06:17

Don't wanna be all by myself anymore.

Dozey

Dozey Report 14 Jul 2010 12:23

Well Google answered my question:-

'All By Myself' was written and first performed by Eric Carmen in1975.
