Sorry, I don't know much about football - in fact it could all be written on the back of a postage stamp! I thought they had to play all the other teams in their group and then the highest up team went through to the next round. Perhaps someone who knows the format can tell us if it is a straight knockout competition?

Janet Report 11 Jun 2010 16:15

well you will at least get 3 x 90 mins of free access for these 3 group games.

then the further we get in the competition the more free time you will get. If hhey get to the final..............hmmm then you will get seven free lots of 90 mins

any help?

Talanya - I just thought that everyone KNEW that England were going to do an action replay of 1966!

If it means more free access, I might even see if I can find an English flag to fly myself! Wonder if a Union Jack would do!

Just looked at FMP looks like it will be 3 x 3hours -
see quote from web page ::
" 30 minutes before kick-off we'll stop charging for 3 hours, which should give you plenty of time to explore what we have to offer.

* To get ready, make sure you've registered as you'll need to sign in to view the records. If you need help, take a look at our handy Getting Started guide and our video tutorials."

Janet

Janet Report 11 Jun 2010 16:51

yes it includes 1911

Renes

Renes Report 11 Jun 2010 16:54

I am quoting from their web page again -

When England play, you don't pay!

*All records available using our Full subscription (including the 1911 Census) will be free: Living Relatives searches and Memorial scrolls are not included

Just hope it includes existing members - we shall see

So if you subscribe like myself to just the 1911, you should be able to view the rest for those few hours?

Whilst I applaud the site for giving 'free time'to everyone, and I DO hope they enjoy the benefits !!, I feel that we who have paid for subscription are missing out.

I, for one, will be sending them an e-mail about what 'we' can have in recompence'

Best of luck to anybody who can manage to get anything from the 1911 census from
Findmy past.........it's been rubbish since the freebie started at 7pm...should have guessed it couldn't cope

Dea

Dea Report 12 Jun 2010 20:42

I thought that might happen - haven' tried myself - all the more reason for 'subscribers' to ask for recompence!!! ???
