Find Ancestors

Hi All

Wondering if you kind people could please help me find the marriage of my gr grandparents. My GD was born in 1912 Trevor John Butler - I have his DOB as Dec 1912 - on the register I think I have found him being registered in 1913 along with potential siblings Hannah L Butler 1915 Jan - Mar & Gwilym J Butler Jan-Mar 1912. They were all registered in Pontypridd, Glamorgan Wales.

My Gr GP's are Hannah Bowen and (we think) Trevor John Butler - although I haven't been able to find a match for a HB with a TJB - so it could well be another name for the father. I'm tempted to order my GD's birth certificate but thought I'd ask for some help first.

Hannah remarried when my Gr Gd died (I believe he died c1915/16) - she remarried Ernest J Tucker in 1917 - I've found that record and I believe their potential children - Megan, Mona, Thomas & Eunice. I think I'm still missing potential Butler or Tucker siblings - in total there were 11 and I believe EJT had 3 children before he married Hannah.

Theres quite a few Hannah Bowen marriages for before your G dad's birth too! (most in Glamorgan!)

I think it's the latter one born in Pontypridd. Bowen was definately her maiden name and my GF was Trevor John Butler.

Patricia - not sure about place of birth for Hannah - I came up with a couple on the 1891 census in Wales but not Pontypridd.

We have my GF DOB as 05/12/1912 - Trevor J Butler.

I think Hannah was born about 1882 - she died in 1960 at the age of 78

Yea I went through the list of Hannah Bowens marriages - was a bit of a mine field - only match up I could find was John Butler in 1890 - Merthyr Tydfil.

There was talk that my GR GF wasn't from Wales but not sure on that for def

Patricia - not sure if that's them as I do not recognise any of the siblings names - would be before my GD was born - we always thought he was one of the oldest siblings. We thing Butler/Bowen had about 5 kids together.

Michael - could be that one I guess - would fit with the 1882 birth of HB - makes her 26yrs old ish

I think the only real way of finding out who Hannah married would be to order my GF's birth certificate.

Hannah & Butler didn't have kids until 1912ish and she remarried in 1917 - so could be 1908 marriage - unless they had children earlier - I believe I'm still missing 2 Butler siblings. I think there was a brother called Frank Butler & maybe David Butler too?

Only choice is to buy a birth cert for one of the children you know to belong your family and see who is named as the father

Only death for a Trevor Butler between 1913 and 1917 is in Leeds.

Frank and David Butler are on the 1911 census that I found.

Maybe they had more children than we originally thought??

I'll see what the certificate comes up with and take it from there!

Hannah does not come up on 1911 census as either Bowen or Butler born 1882 + or - 2 yeas except in the one posted by Patricia which seems to me to fit the bill but the birth cert will reveal all

Does anyone have access to the electrol Roll? If so could you please help - I'm also trying to find Maxwell Anderson born 28th Aug 1927, New Machar, Scotland.

Last known residence was in Aldershot in the 1960's he married Doris Jean Tucker in last 1/4 1962.

I can't seem to find either of them on the death records - there was a Doris Jean Anderson who died in 2005 in East Sussex but that's not the correct one.

I don't have access to the ER so not sure how it works or what information you guys need
