Thank You FannyByGaslight at least I know that it wasn't unsual to have someone registering the birth, other than the mother and father.

I got a reply from Helen (who also has Senath in her tree). She hasnt got any more of Senath decendants but is helping with Senaths mums family etc.

I really wished I'd been intrestered in this all before my nanny died, so I could have asked her all the details of her family.

Mind you she wouldn't tell my dad things about her family so I doubt she would have told me.

Oh well I will never know.

If only wishes were kisses Tracy..sigh.

I would have saved a fortune if I had asked some questions too.
Got my nans marriage today.
She was Illegitimate but knew her father until age 5 when he died and she has his first and second name down on her marriage ,plus occupation, but,,,,,has put his surname the same as hers which she knew it wasnt !

The funny thing is that I seem to be telling my dad things about his family (real dad, mum, etc) that he never knew.

Im sure it should be the other way round!!!

My family have died over 30 years ago and I don't think my mother ever knew her elder sister was a child of an earlier marriage and they weren't full sisters.

Her mother remarried two weeks before her elder sister was born. Her first husband died on leave from the Army the week that this elder sister was conceived. It's amazing the detials you can find on the net that were never known before

Good Luck Kay

You've posted a few census searches for me.

Please can I ask if you have the places of birth and relationship to the house hold on them.

Many thanks
Tracy
