Find Ancestors

I am stuck !!! trying to find if emily born about 1870 is related to my nan rose harris born c1879. emily seems to be married about 1890 to william bosley. I have tried to question my mum,(roses daughter phyllis leggett born 1919) about it. She seems to think that her mum rose did have a sister, but all i can find are 2 brothers to her mum,arthur born c1874, alfred born c1876. my mum is 90 years old and the youngest of all her brothers and sisters and the only surviving relative that would know any information. If I am slow answering its because i am at my mums on my laptop with one of these portable dongles which are very slow. Thanks Sandra

it seems by your replies that she was liviing .with her mother in law and brother in law perhaps that is why i cannot find her on the 1881 census. it gets very confusing. thanks again sandra.

so she was on the 1881 under harrison i would never have found it.

Blow,I looked at that Harrison one on 1881 and didnt check it.

It would seem that Sarah Margarets mother remarried if her maiden name was Brown as this marriage ref says.
Therefore they need to be searched for under Brown and Cowell.
