Find Ancestors

Just received marriage certificate that shows the person I had been searching for was the wrong Edward Burdett.
The one I am looking for is about 72-73yrs old give or take a bit. Although divorced for a long time from my mother (now dead) they were married in Romford on 1st June 1957 when he was a Grenadier Guard. He was 19yrs old when they married but I have no date of birth for him.
Any information would be great.

If he was married in 1957 and he was 19 then he must have been born c1938.

Sharon do you mean the marriage cert you have is the wrong one and that they were married in June 1957 or that your mother was married in 1957??????????????????

Yes that is the marriage certificate I have.
It has got John as a middle name but it has a line through it and number 12 next to it then on the far right the word Twelve and letters L.O.O so dont know if the John was crossed out because it should not be there.
Do you know anything of this man or his family

Sorry when I said it was the wrong one what I meant was. Fraser and Fraser sent me a death cert for my father but they sent the wrong one.

It was on Ancestry - for which a subscription is required...........

Although it MAY be on freebmd - I didn't check.........

Thanks for all that info, I am working at the moment so will have to look at it all tonight.
I will try and order a birth cert for him. Really gutted, hoped for a minute that my father was not dead......oh well.
The siblings you listed I presume you mean his brother/sisters or did you mean he had had more children?

Check the dates and MMN - you'll realise that siblings are brothers and sisters.
