This Gladys cant be your mums sister,I wondered if she was Elizas.

ROBERTS, Gladys Grand Daughter F 0 (5 MOS) 1901
Chalford
Wiltshire

And if you have George William Hancock dying in 1938 then he cant have been legally married to Eliza I would have thoght ,as he was still alive when she married in Mr Smith in 1912,
Divorce was possible back then, but very expensive and hard to get and especially for the working class on the whole.

Ages vary greatly on Census as a rule ,but your Eliza seems to have stayed contant on her year of birth and place, which makes life easier for searching for her.

I am not sure if the birth I posted for Mabel is correct, did she have the other name of Frances?I can check again for her if not.

It has been a pleasure to help someone who stayed around to answer questions for once,so often people post a request and then dont return to answer.
And as you see we move pretty quick here at Genes in trying to find info for people when asked.
Thank you David,I have enjoyed it.

If you need more help on this lot at all no matter how long it is please return here and add a mesage as most of the info to work with is now done.

Thats your excuse and your sticking to it ,is it Flo??

I dont blame you,I shall use it next year I think.

David....
You just put the icing on my cake,I really thought she was..
Thank you for telling me,its a right pain being left wondering sometimes.

Except I think most of them were born before marriage as we cant find a Hancock/Roberts marriage !!

My Nan was, and her 4 sisters and a brother.
Their parents were married, but not to each other !
