i am trying to find info on my gr gran eliza roberts, she was born in january 1880, near westbury in wiltshire, she died in devizes in 1938 she married twice her first husband was a hancock born in bradford on avon area he was my gr grandad her second husband was william george smith born august 1884 she had five children in each of her marriages, her first marriage had children called rosina (my gran) harriet, leonard, mabel and herbert. her second marriage had children called ethel, dorothy, rosemary, florence and joseph. can anyone help please

So do you have her marriage to MR Hancock or Mr Smith for her fathers name and occupation please?

this is all the info i have. i dont have marriage certs or where they were married so i dont know which reg office i should look for but i am presuming that it would be either westbury or devizes if thay have one.

When was Rosina Hancock born and where please so that I can place Eliza on a census.

i do know that three of the smith side of the family mainly lived in devizes or that area apart and the other two lived in peasedown nr bath as did three of the hancock side of the family and the other two lived in bradford on avon

rosina was born on the 14 october 1904 in carlingcott about 8 miles from bath know as lower peasedown on occasion

This looks like Eliza if your info on her place and date of birth are correct,but really you need one of her marriage certs to verify it.

harriett was born in 1910 in wootten under edge and died in peasedown st john. herbert was also born in wootten under edge and died in peasedown st john 24 sept 1983.

her full name as i know it is rosina violet ivy kate hancock but was always referred to as ivy

Florence nor I can find a marriage to George Hancock for Eliza,so maybe they didnt marry Legally for some reason.
