Hi Maria
Following on from Janey's find of http://www.busnach.nl/
I've had a look and Leah's father Joseph [Josua] is on there; he married Clara Draaijer 22 June 1851 in Amsterdam. It says they are in the 1871 census at 9 Sivan [Swan] Yard, St Mary Whitechapel. Doesn't mention Leah (she is possibly Helena) but it does mention Michael, Rachel and Rachel Soep.

See entries 28 & 34 though there are lots of Busnachs with various spellings on the site.

Following all your help and advice i did make contact with the owner of the website mentioned, and i have indeed been given access to invaluable information including leah's mum's maiden name, carrieann the info you emailed is also spot on A big thank you to you all without your help i would have been really stuck
