Find Ancestors

I am trying to find Mary Over. I know she married William Andrews in Northamptonshire in 1853 and they had lots of children starting with Bazil in 1860 and ending with John Henry in 1880.

Any information would be great.

It looks that way. The only marriage i can find in Northants between a William Andrews and Mary was QJune 1853. Although their first child was not born until 1864 so maybe the marriage should have been QJune 1863 which would be more sense, but has been recorded wrong. I looked it up on BMD.

When I searched for the marriage between William and Mary I searched for William Andrews and spouse Mary in Northamptonshire. The only match which came up was QJune 1853 William Andrews and Mary Over. So I have assumed that Mary's maiden name was Over.

in 1861 the only William Andrews born in Thorpe Malsor I can find is this one -

If it is the same one 'married' to Mary Ann, he has 'lost' 10 years by 1871!

I think your best bet is to get a birth certificate from www.gro.gov.uk

Choccy has given you the details for oneof the children. This will then give the mothers maiden name and then you can go back further on the right track

Thanks all of you for your help. If I had the time I would send off for the certificates but it's my Godmother's birthday next week. I guess I should have started this earlier but it's only when you try and think of something to buy a 90 year old that you start to think outside the box.
