Hi Lorraine, yes that's my Mary Ann, didn't know she had a son William, so thank you so very much for that.

Now it has her birth place as Kingstanley, Gloucester and I'm sure that must be correct. Her maiden name was Nelmes with a father George and a mother Ann, would you mind having a look for me please.

Regards

Mary

Thanks for all the updates, very enlightening. That does look like my John and a nice new bit of info. for me.

I have them all on the 1901 census in Kent, except for Rowland who we've sorted and Sarah E Shelley.

Been struggling finding her as she could have married but have no idea who.

Am keen to know if theres a record of them travelling back to the UK between 1890 when Alice died in Canada and 1901 when they are back in the census in Kent.

I'm hoping it could show if Sarah was with them and if not she may have stayed in Canada.

Thanks again, sorry for all the long searches but this has helped me loads after a patch of being stuck on this family.

I would be very grateful for any details about Cyrus and Sylvia Crossley, who, I think, went to Canada/US in the early 1900's.........she was born in 1881.

Is this enough info for you to be able to search?
Thank you

Hi

I am trying to trace any information on Thomas Conboy b c1798 and his Wife Elizabeth b c1797 both born in Galway or Rosscommon, Ireland.

They appear on the 1841 Census in Lambeth, Surrey, their eldest child Andrew being born in Ireland abt 1825. The next child Thomas, born 2 years later was born in Lambeth so I guess that mean they must have come to England between 1825 and 1827.

There is a Thomas Conboy that appears on an Ancestry search of the UK Incoming Passenger Lists 1878-1960 from Queenstown, Ireland but I do not have access to this database.

Their name is spelt ConbAy on the 1851 Census.

Any information would be appreciated.
