could you help me here please,I would like to see if jessie kirkpatrick born 1902 who married arthur toyne in grimsby could be my relative ,I would like to know if her fathers name on the marraige certifacate is ebenezer kirkpatrick ,if so then i will be on the right jessie ,regards sandra

A search of the 1911 census shows a Jessie B.S Kirkpatrick b.1902 with who appears to be her mother and siblings living Grimsby... No Ebenezer though.
Mother shown as KIRKPATRICK MARGARET F 1879 32

The only way to confirm her father is to purchase the marriage or birth certificate or find a baptism record if she was baptised.

Thank you chris ,yes i have a lot of info on siblings etc ,but just wondered where jessie ended up after her childhood,i was looking at posssible marraiges and found one for about 1927-9 t A Toyne with the same name,,if i buy credits and look up on the marraige certificate would it give details of who father was for that jessie,it might even be a completly different one,i know names of all the family tree ,just wondering where jessie ended up,regards sandra

Thank you Ninjalady,I have all jessies parents and siblings side on my tree,it is the Toyne side that is hard to find,to see if any are related to us,I found a marriage on freebmd for Jessie kirkpatrick and Arthur Toyne in Grimsby 1929 which looks promisingg to us,but now I have some Toyne names from you I can find if any are Arthurs siblings,just got a message back from a julie Barker with a arthur wainwright, born 1885 but that is all the info she has on him,she would like more too and looks a promising match for her as well so i will pass your info on to her ,she as just opened her tree for me,just had a look and she has not gone back any further than this date,looks like arthur born 1908 is possibly her mothers brother,let you know how i get on ,regards sandra

There is a tree on Ancestry that has this Arthur Wainwright Toyne married on 13th August 1905 at Grimsby Register Office to Sarah Cockerill. I'm assuming from this that they have the certificate.

In which case - they have listed his father as John Toyne. No mother listed.

This may be him in 1891, but you will need to buy his birth cert to be sure...

Hi all,I have confirmation now that it is my dads sister jessie Kirkpatrick who married Arthur Toyne .Can anyone please find out where Jessie and Arthur lived after marrying in Grimsby 1929 ,I did hear they went to northamptonshire at some point but any addresses where Jessie or Arthur lived after 1929 either Grimsby or other parts of the uk would be a great help,so I can continue my search.regards sandra

I still have got no furthur as to where Jessie Kirkpatrick and Arthur Wainwright was Living after marrying in 1929. There is a birth registration for a female Toyne with the mothers maiden name of Kirkpatrick (not transcribed on Freebmd yet) born in Grimsby registration district in 1938.

You could check the electoral rolls to see if Arthur and Jessie were living in Grimsby in 1938. The local library should hold a copy - try this one.....
