Good luck to you also Blue.. Do keep me in mind regarding the Whiteheads.. My GG Grandfather I forgot to add before was born in Falkirk Stirlingshire and my G Grandfather was born in Ireland.. I,m going out of Woolwich with these two..Otherwise its Woolwich right down to my Nan and her sisters who were Whiteheads and also born in Woolwich..

Hi Marion,
I know my Alma was born at sea around 1857,but i don't know if she married before she married my husbands granddad, he was born in S.E London around the Peckham area
Also i reckon that Alma was named after the Siege of Alma at the Battle of Sabastople during the Crimean war so have been wondering if her father was a soldier,so it's interesting you mentioning the military link for your Whiteheads.
I'll get there in the end
Good luck with yours, and i'll keep you in mind when i start to do Alma in my tree

Thanks Vera for your help.. I jolly well cant find her either.. She has to be the only one out of all the Whitehead,s that comes up with nothing each time I search.. Blue,No your not imposing at all.. Welcome..I must say to you that all my Whitehead,s mostly came from Woolwich.. Thats not to say when they married they went to live somewhere else? Most did stay even after marriage in Woolwich or its neighbouring places .They all seem to marry in St Mary Magdeline Woolwich..The name you mentioned Alma Sabastopol Whitehead I have never heard of or come across with my searching.. The Whitehead men all served in The Royal Artillery.

Please excuse me for imposing on your thread
Hi there,
I just read through your thread, because of the name of your Aunt.
I have recently found an Alma Sabastopol Whitehead in Romford on the 1911 census married to William Pimlott Stephens,my husbands 3x grandfather.I wonder if they are connected, they married in 1910 and he died in 1912 age about 62

Marion,

I can only tell you there are no other Whiteheads with Daisy. You will need to buy credits to find out the other names.

Yes Vera she is mine.. The same one.. Her Mother died in 1879 and her Father a few years before.. She was the daughter of William and Amelia Whitehead.. I have all her siblings marriages but have never found a marriage for Louisa.. I have her family in the 1871 Census living in Mulgrove Place Woolwich.. The surname was mistranscribed though.. I would so much like to find her marriage..

Thanks so much for your help.
