Please can anyone help.. Its a long shot but I do believe I have found my Great Great Aunt on the 1911 Census.. She was born Louisa Georgina Whitehead 1874 Woolwich.. On the 1911 Census I have found a Louisa georgina Jessup living in the area of Romford.. So far I can find no marriage but would greatly appreciate some help with this one.. Husbands first name unknown. |

Thanks Rose...So its not my GG Aunt after all.. Oh Dear...Can you solve this one for me then as well... In the 1911 Census there is a Daisy Whitehead also living in Romford.. Now this one I know is mine.. She was not staying with her parents on the night of the 1911 Census so any help as to who is in the household would be much appreciated.. Thanks Rose.. |

Yes Vera she is mine.. The same one.. Her Mother died in 1879 and her Father a few years before.. She was the daughter of William and Amelia Whitehead.. I have all her siblings marriages but have never found a marriage for Louisa.. I have her family in the 1871 Census living in Mulgrove Place Woolwich.. The surname was mistranscribed though.. I would so much like to find her marriage.. |

Hi Marion, Think I have found her on the 1891....have checked the image....the enumerator has written though her age....it looks to me like it should read 17 and not 47....could someone check as well please.. |

Thanks Vera for your help.. I jolly well cant find her either.. She has to be the only one out of all the Whitehead,s that comes up with nothing each time I search.. Blue,No your not imposing at all.. Welcome..I must say to you that all my Whitehead,s mostly came from Woolwich.. Thats not to say when they married they went to live somewhere else? Most did stay even after marriage in Woolwich or its neighbouring places .They all seem to marry in St Mary Magdeline Woolwich..The name you mentioned Alma Sabastopol Whitehead I have never heard of or come across with my searching.. The Whitehead men all served in The Royal Artillery. |

Good luck to you also Blue.. Do keep me in mind regarding the Whiteheads.. My GG Grandfather I forgot to add before was born in Falkirk Stirlingshire and my G Grandfather was born in Ireland.. I,m going out of Woolwich with these two..Otherwise its Woolwich right down to my Nan and her sisters who were Whiteheads and also born in Woolwich.. |
