PLEASE Can anyone do a search for james peter nicholson in the 1911 census for me his age would have been 14/15
anorther long shot but i must find him

where do i get the credits from i have tryed 1901 census but there are 6 of them that would fit and none of them with a middle name of peter if i can find him in 1911 that would help

I think the question is: where are you getting the age 14/15 in 1911?

Do you have his birth record?

If you can copy it from there, that would be useful. Or are you taking his age from the 1901 census? From a subsequent marriage? death? Not a census I guess, since you say you can't find him there. It very much sounds like the age you have given is not actually accurate.

It's frustrating for people to do searches on the basis of information that turns out to be unconfirmed/inaccurate.

Lesley said that was the closest birth she could find. Is it the wrong one?

i,m takeing his age form his death cert he died in 1960 aged 64 he died in birmingham, so in 1911 he would be 14/15
i found 1 on the 1891 census but he is to old the ones from 1895/6/7
do not have a middle name

Jim, an age stated on a death cert is not proof of anything.

It is just whatever the person who reported the death happened to think.

If my grandfather had died in 1960, his age on his death certificate would have been wrong. He didn't retire until a few years later, and that was when he had to get his birth certificate, and found out he wasn't as old as he'd thought he was all his life.

His middle name may not have been used when his birth was registered.

Oh, btw ... my grandfather's death would also have been under the wrong name if he'd died before he retired. His name was actually quite different from what he'd thought it was for 65 years ...

The person that gave his age at the time was my mom and i know they never married, i have been looking for three yrs now and think it time to give up but i will check out 1911 census 1st

If he is from Sunderland and was still living there in 1911, the Durham census has yet to be put online.
