And I meant to say - the age on his death cert is the only thing you have to go on, but you still have to take it with a grain of salt. That means not rejecting possibilities out of hand because they don't match the death cert, when the death cert is the one that might be wrong.

i know its just so dissapointing but if i go with the 1 that keeps coming up
he wou;ld be 36 yrs older than my mom

As it was, he was already a good bit older, though?

Otherwise I might have suggested checking for *younger* options - since your mum might not have wanted to look like she had a toy boy. ;)

well we always knew he was 20yrs older would he realy get away with
knocking another 16 yrs off
