I thought that aswell, must be the same man, there must have been some reason for the name change, that i think will remain a mystery i think. |

I might get hold of the certificate of the marriage to Mary and see what it says for father's name, if I were you, and then see whether he can be found in 1841, or a birth in the IGI. |
