Lisa, I am very sorry to hear about your Nan and now is probably not a good time for you to get your head round anything.

However when you say 'i forget iv posted things on here' it makes me as a 'helper' not want to try to help if you dont come back to your questions. We all do this in our own time and with our own resources, Genes Reunited do not pay us for doing it, so its always a good idea to come back to your postings even if its just to say we've got it all wrong.

Keep your chin up and I hope things are okay with you.

If her name had been Mary Jones I'd have opened the gin before I started looking!

However, I must say well done to Lisa for actually hanging round and answering our questions - quite a rarity these days!!

I've just posted her maiden name

Aplianna Lewis

along with her marriage details - you will have to order her marriage certificate (I've given details) in order to get her fathers name.

Well Lisa, thats familys for you. I can assure you a lot of people have the same problem. You also have to remember that sometimes, especially with older people, the past can be very painful, they didnt have the easy life a lot of us have today.

The people on here are always willing to give up there time and resources to help but you do have to be patient.

We all have to rely on strangers at some point when researching, there comes a point when the family dont actually know anything. As you can see Lindsay has found her in quite a few census records so far so she's getting nearer to pinning her down.

i just didnt understand the stuff that was shown i know i have to be patient but when your own family wont tell you anything at all its so frustrating and im having to rely on strangers it just dont seem right
