Melanie,

You ought to mention that the 1804 record is a submitted record..... which is exactly the reason i did not post it... !!

Submitted records are merely someone else's opinion and not always either based on facts or even correct!!

Gerald,

Email this gentleman

Roger Gomm, rgomm at msn.com, he is listed as the main gent for this name and is also the person doing a one name study on it.

He should be able to give you more factual answer than the IGI can.

Good Luck

Melanie,

You are helping, but you need to give people the full facts when picking your way through the IGI. It's vitally important people know it's a submitted record.

What tends to happen is people take what you say as gospel, and if the person, who's data you have copied, got it wrong, you are perpetuating the error....at least if you tell people it's a submitted record they are in full control of the facts and can choose to either investigate further or accept what you have found.

Clearly a submitted record needs investigating further, but if you neglect to mention it people will treat it as an extracted record.

We're all constantly on a learning curve,....

Leonard Report 3 Jul 2008 18:46

I'm trying to find my brothers dad. My brother is 29 years old and has never met him. I only have a bit of info. I know his name is Peter Hutchinson my mum thinks his year of birth is around 1956. He had a brief relationship with my mum in the late 70's and the last known address we have is 105 Themere rd, Partington, Manchester. I think it was his parents house. I know he has a sister called Coral and i know he was in the army. He met my mum in the Greyhound pub in partington. I know that they moved from the last known address just as he and my mum spilt up. I'm not to certain with this but think his dad was called arthur. If you could please help me that would be great because we have tried before an never got anywhere. Thank you

Dermot,

I can find nothing on the CWGC, and i'm not the worlds best with Irish records.

INIS is however the worlds best (well Gene's) Give them a shout over on TTF,

Tracey

Gerald

The data Melanie found (1804) is a subitted record and should not be trusted.

You will need to do a litle more digging i think.
