i have asked GRO to find james they have looked from 1903 to 1905 i cannot seem to find him anywhere not sure of year of birth he could have been late 1800s born in london brother to sidney and reginald any help would be gratefully received many thanks Gill

there is a marriage in 1898 st saviour alfred wills and emily cushway......are these the parents????

if reginsld was born abt 1907 there in the 1911 census at popular with emily and alfred [parents]and james 1904

Well in the 1901 census there is only one child with the family, so if James was born late 1800s he may have been with a relative while his mother recovered from the birth of William.

hi i found james and his sister emily on the 1911 census james was born bow/poplar? which is the same area roughly in 1911 he was 7 yrs can i ask why GRO cannot find him? thanks Gill

I think then that they may have checked that one and the mother's name is different. Do you know if any of the other children have middle names - if not it is less likely that that one would be your James. If there is nothing else looking likely, I would be tempted to spend the money and buy the certificate if only to eliminate that one.

Could it be that the birth of James Wills was written as Willis?
