It may be worth checking the Poor Relief records as Jane may have claimed if she was widowed or in ill health. These records are held at the Mitchell Library in Glasgow and are indexed. If you are lucky enough to find your Irish ancestors on these records they often give the birth county in Ireland and sometimes even the parents' names. |

Main things I want to find out are date of James death and where in Ireland thaey are from. If I can narrow down the death years I can check with the church records in Glasgow. |

Am assuming that they arrived in Scotland between 1840 and 44. Although I have Francis birth as 1842 that's by no means certain. |

Have searched via Scotland's People many times and just cannot find the following family. Could understand that they might have been out of the country, but not all at once! |
