The man’s parents were the ones who married in Edinburgh in 1926 as per info found on find-a-grave via Ancestry

The family suggested by Shirley, featuring the middle name Mungall, is not the right one. Names and dates don't fit.

There is no marriage of a James Robertson to an Ida Mary in Scotland, England, or Wales.

It looks like they may have married in Australia.

The 17th Construction Squadron was in Vietnam in 1966-71.

Assuming "1st and 2nd Battalion" means battalions of the Royal Australian Regiment, the 1st battalion was in Korea 1952-54 , and the 2nd battalion 1953-54.

So presumably James had emigrated before 1952..

Someone named Sean Leader has James on a private tree on Ancestry.
Per Sean's tree, James had a spouse and two sons.

Sean doesn't give James's wife's name in his tree.
However, apparently her parents were Arthur William Smith and Theresa Ellen McGuffe, who spent their whole lives in Queensland, married in 1929, and had several children.

Therefore, I assume James and Ida married in Australia.
