I don’t think you mentioned Jervis before. There was a Jervis Lowe born and died in 1922 in the Ecclesall Bierlow district. His mothers maiden name was Rudd.

No I haven't this a guy who doesnt want to be found, no sign of his birth certificate death , nothing. Awaiting reply from.the FA. About to give up

I'm afraid that doesn't help us, as Ernest Lowe is also a very common name.

If your father was born outside wedlock, his birth might have been registered under his mother's surname - in which case the info I posted above about illegitimate births would come into play.

If he was registered under the name Lowe - as we've said already, there is no record of a child with the name Evonne or Evon Lowe anywhere in Staffordshire 1947-49 - or anywhere else in England or Wales, for that matter.

Do you know Evonne's mother's name?
Was Ernest married to your father's mother?
Do you know anything else about Ernest?

His dad was ernest lowe from.uttoxeter staffordshire

Re the two remaining illegitimate (possibly) births in Cheadle RD in Apr/May/June qr 1948 -

The Cotterill child was born in Leek, according to Staffordshire BMD Indexes - so not Evonne if he really was born in Uttoxeter:

It might have been spelt evon at birth,

IF the date and place of birth are correct, and IF he was adopted -

there are three births which MIGHT be illegitimate - a Shaw (mmn Shaw), a Cotterill (mmn Cotterill), and a Jones (mmn Jones).



EDIT:
We can discount the 1948 Jones child.
His mother married a Meddings in 1951 in Cheadle RD.
The child, now known as Meddings, married in Devon in 1971, and died there in 2002.

There is NO birth registered anywhere in Staffordshire for John Lowe in AMJ 1948

The suggestion that he was adopted is beginning to look more likely

As he may still be living, you need to amend the birth info - potential for identity theft
