Find Living Relatives

William was my grandfather John's brother and the information I have is that he joined the British Army and after he left the army he ended up living in Yorkshire. I believe he married in 1899 to Kathleen Belinda Murphy and had a family of possibly 3 boys and 2 girls. I am trying to do my family tree and wondered if any of his descendants are still alive ?

Eringobragh I knew he was in the army and I think he was a CSM when he retired from the army. That appears to have been sometime between the 1901 Census when he was stiil in the army and the 1911 Census when he was retired.I don't have his Service Record. Thanks for the info on the children. I got some from the two Censuses and assumed the first William had died as he was missing from the 1911 Census.

On 7 October 2014 you said that William had a son Gerald Edward O'Neill.Can you confirm the last of these names, please ? The reason is that I am in contact with William T's granddaughter and she traced a death for a Gerald Edward O'Neil McColgan but with an alleged age of 64 at his death in 1960 which suggests he was born in 1896 and not 1902/03 as per our Gerald. But it would be a heck of a co-incidence to have two men with these exact names
I've obtained a lot of info on William T including his marriage cert, his army history,where he went after he left the army in 1910.

Could this be Gerald? listed as a member of the British Gendarmerie, going to Palestine; last UK address: RAF Halton.

I'm wondering if Gerald and Mabel divorced- if it's the correct Mabel she appears to be living alone on the 1939 register- followed by a marriage in 1940.
